I had to do some surgery on that copy of Soundgarden’s Badmotorfinger before I could play it. The tape relocated on top of the slip sheet inside the shell. I had to cut down a dress shirt collar stay to push inside the opening at the edge of the tape feed and hope I could snag enough of the tape to push it back over the slip sheet and then run the tape over the surface of a hot coffee mug to “iron” out folds that happened during the surgery. But it has great sound with no skips or dropoff afterward so I’m calling it a success! And Chedar is celebrating the win with me.
And I walk these streets, a loaded six-string on my back.
I play for keeps 'cause I might not make it back.
I've been everywhere, still I'm standing tall.
I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all.
My god, I love the detail on Jar Jar. The paint on his eyes alone is worth the cost of the figure. They look so sad and weary. Like a weathered axeman.
I don’t buy many Funko POPs (that’s more my son’s forte). But when they announced Eddie Van Halen, I jumped. He jumped. We all jump.
The background is a photo I took of the EVH mural on the back of Guitar Center in Hollywood last July.
